BETHANY JACOBSON
FILMMAKER & PHOTOGRAPHER
My photography practice began when my father gave me an Leica IIIf in my teens. I have shot with many 35mm film cameras, and originally worked as a photojournalist in the 1980s, publishing in a variety of magazines. Over the years, I began using digital tools because of their flexibility. Influenced by my film-making practice, my subject matter became increasingly personal, dealing with time and memory. Currently, I am working on several on-going series, "Dreamscapes", "Ode To A Cemetery" and "Transformations".
